Whether you're a club pilot flying sport aircraft, perfecting aerobatic manoeuvres, or operating scale models, this 60-amp ESC offers the precision throttle response and dependable protection that serious flyers demand. The combination of advanced 32-bit microprocessor technology, low-heat MOSFET design, and adjustable SBEC output voltage makes this a standout choice for anyone seeking a trouble-free fit-and-forget solution to motor control in their fixed-wing RC aircraft.
Radient's 32-bit programmable ESCs have been engineered to comprehensively satisfy the needs of practically all R/C pilots, regardless of what they fly. The 60A model sits perfectly in the middle of Radient's range (alongside 40A, 50A, 80A and 100A variants), making it ideal for mid-range motor applications. With high build quality, lightweight construction at just 50 grams, and a compact footprint of only 70 x 34 x 10mm, this ESC integrates seamlessly into most fixed-wing airframes. The feature-rich design includes multiple layers of protection, super-smooth start-up characteristics, and ultra-reliable performance that makes it a favourite with RC pilots across the UK who demand quality electronics they can trust.
Pre-installed XT60 battery connectors and bullet-style motor connectors streamline installation and get you flying faster, whilst LCD programming card support allows quick and convenient setup without complicated software or computer connections. This is a genuine piece of engineering designed by pilots, for pilots, and backed by Radient's reputation for excellence in RC electronic speed control.
Key Features
- Low Heat Generation MOSFET with High Instant Current Capability — The advanced MOSFET design minimises heat production during operation, which extends component lifespan and improves overall reliability in the air. High instant current capability means the ESC can deliver power precisely when you need it most, providing responsive throttle control during aggressive manoeuvres and ensuring smooth acceleration from standstill.
- Fast 32-Bit Microprocessor — The sophisticated 32-bit processor ensures rapid calculation of throttle inputs and motor commands, translating to crisp, instantaneous response to your transmitter inputs. This processing speed is crucial for maintaining stable flight characteristics and enabling precise control during complex aerobatic sequences or scale flying operations.
- Super-Smooth Start-Up and Accurate Throttle Linearity — Unlike cheaper ESCs that can jerk or stutter at the moment of motor engagement, the Radient 60A G2 delivers silky-smooth start-up that protects your motor and airframe from shock loads. Accurate throttle linearity means the power output increases proportionally to your stick movement, giving you predictable control and confidence in every flight.
- Higher Energy-Saving Qualities and Efficiency — The intelligent power management and efficient MOSFET circuitry minimise energy waste as heat, meaning more of your battery's energy is converted into motor power rather than lost as thermal dissipation. This translates to longer flight times and reduced strain on your battery cells, ultimately extending battery lifespan.
- Adjustable SBEC Output Voltage — The integrated Switched-Mode BEC (battery elimination circuit) allows you to adjust output voltage to optimise servo performance. By maximising the voltage delivered to your servos, you can unlock their full performance potential, resulting in faster, more responsive control surfaces during flight.
- Multiple Protection Systems — Built-in start-up protection prevents sudden motor engagement, over-heat protection shuts down the ESC if temperatures climb too high, low-voltage protection safeguards your battery from over-discharge, and signal loss and phase loss protection ensure safe operation if radio signal is lost or motor connections are reversed.
- LCD Programming Card Support — Rather than requiring a computer connection or complex software, the Radient 60A G2 can be programmed via an easy-to-use LCD programming card, making setup and configuration quick and convenient even in the field at your local flying club.
- Pre-Installed XT60 Battery Connector — The industry-standard XT60 connector arrives ready-to-use, eliminating the need for additional soldering and reducing setup time so you can get airborne faster.
- Pre-Installed Bullet-Style Motor Connectors — Quality 4mm bullet connectors for motor connection come pre-soldered to the ESC, ensuring reliable power delivery to your motor and simplifying the installation process.
- Wide Motor Compatibility — Compatible with most motors on the market including high RPM types, the Radient 60A G2 offers exceptional flexibility when choosing or upgrading your motor, whether you're flying a fast sport plane or a more leisurely scale model.
Technical Performance
The Radient 60A G2 ESC represents the pinnacle of fixed-wing RC electronic speed control, engineered with precision and built to exacting standards. Operating with a continuous current rating of 60 amps, this ESC is suitable for 2-cell to 6-cell LiPo battery packs, providing flexibility for everything from lightweight trainer aircraft through to higher-performance sport and scale models. The fast 32-bit microprocessor working in conjunction with the low-heat MOSFET design ensures efficient power delivery with minimal thermal output, a critical factor when electronics are mounted in confined spaces within aircraft fuselages. At just 50 grams and measuring only 70mm in length, 34mm in width, and 10mm in height, the compact form factor means the 60A ESC fits easily into most aircraft designs without adding significant weight. The adjustable SBEC output allows fine-tuning of servo voltage independent of battery voltage, a feature that serious RC pilots appreciate for maximising control surface responsiveness and servo lifespan. The pre-installed XT60 battery connector and bullet-style motor connectors come ready from the factory, eliminating the need for additional soldering and getting your aircraft airborne faster. Programming via the included LCD card makes configuration straightforward without requiring computer software, a genuine quality-of-life feature for club pilots. The comprehensive protection suite including start-up, over-heat, low-voltage, signal loss and phase loss protection means your investment in motors, battery and servo equipment remains safeguarded, even if something goes wrong. Whether you're a seasoned competition pilot, a weekend sport flyer, or a scale enthusiast, the Radient 60A G2 delivers the dependable performance and engineering quality that defines Radient's reputation in the RC aircraft community across the UK and internationally.
