Overview

The VITAVON CNC Alu 7075 V2 Steering Block/knuckles for BLX 4S represent a premium upgrade for ARRMA Kraton 4S and Outcast 4S owners seeking enhanced durability and performance. Manufactured from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium using precision CNC machining, these steering blocks are engineered to withstand the extreme demands of high-performance RC driving. Whether you're bashing on trails, competing in short course racing, drifting, crawling, or enjoying scale driving with your 1/10 scale electric RC car or truck, these V2 steering knuckles deliver the reinforced strength needed to handle aggressive driving conditions without compromising on weight.

VITAVON has become a recognised name in the RC hobby community for producing aftermarket upgrades that genuinely improve vehicle performance and longevity. These steering blocks are specifically designed as a direct replacement for the original stock ARRMA parts (AR330523), making installation straightforward for experienced RC enthusiasts and those familiar with maintaining their RC cars. The upgrade path is clear: if your stock steering blocks are showing signs of wear, cracking, or flex under load, these CNC-machined aluminium alternatives are the answer. Available here at RC Model Shop, a trusted UK RC retailer, these components offer excellent value for money and come with everything you need to complete the upgrade.

What sets the V2 version apart from earlier iterations is the inclusion of upgraded bearing specifications. The larger bearing sizes provide improved clearance and reduced friction in the steering system, translating to more responsive handling and longer component lifespan. This is a genuine upgrade, not merely a cosmetic refresh, making it the choice for serious RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand the best performance from their vehicles.

Key Features

  • CNC-Machined 7075 Aluminium Construction — These steering blocks are precision-engineered from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium alloy, one of the strongest aluminium variants available for RC applications. CNC machining ensures every component is manufactured to exacting tolerances, eliminating the weak points often found in plastic or poorly-cast metal parts. This translates to improved durability during aggressive driving, whether you're basking in the park or competing at RC racing events across the UK.
  • V2 Upgraded Bearing Specification — The V2 version features significantly larger bearing sizes compared to the original V1 design: the outside bearing increases from 17×8×5mm to 19×8×6mm, and the inside bearing grows from 18×12×4mm to 21×12×5mm. These larger bearings reduce steering resistance, improve turning response, and extend the service life of the steering system. The upgrade is substantial and makes a real difference in on-track performance.
  • Direct OEM Replacement for ARRMA Vehicles — Designed to replace the original stock part number AR330523, these steering blocks fit ARRMA Kraton 4S and Outcast 4S vehicles without modification. If you're running either of these popular 4S brushless RC buggies, drop-in compatibility means minimal installation time and maximum confidence that the components will work perfectly with your existing setup.
  • Complete Assembly Package — The product includes all necessary assembly screws, eliminating the need to source fasteners separately. Everything you need to complete the installation arrives in the package, saving you time and frustration when you're ready to upgrade your RC car.
  • Versatile Vehicle Compatibility — Beyond buggy applications, these steering blocks are engineered for use across multiple RC driving disciplines including crawling, drift cars, scale models, and short course truck racing. The robust construction handles the unique demands of each driving style, from technical obstacle courses to high-speed circuit racing.
  • Silver Anodised Finish — The polished silver aluminium finish not only looks professional and matches modern RC aesthetics, but the anodising process also provides a protective barrier against corrosion and oxidation, extending the lifespan of the components even when exposed to moisture and dirt common in outdoor RC driving.

Technical Performance

These steering blocks represent a significant step up in engineering quality compared to standard plastic alternatives found on ready-to-run RC models. The 7075 aluminium alloy is specifically chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, offering superior rigidity without adding unnecessary mass to your ARRMA Kraton 4S or Outcast 4S. When you're pushing hard through corners, launching over jumps, or driving over rough terrain, the precision CNC machining ensures that the steering response remains consistent and predictable, never flexing or binding as lesser materials might.

The V2 specification upgrade is particularly important for performance-focused drivers. By increasing bearing sizes, VITAVON has engineered a component that distributes forces more effectively across the steering pivot points. This results in smoother steering input at the transmitter, reduced friction in the steering linkage, and ultimately better handling characteristics throughout your driving session. For anyone running their Kraton 4S or Outcast 4S at speed, whether in competitive short course racing or recreational bashing with friends across the UK, the performance improvement is noticeable and measurable. The 1/10 scale compatibility means these parts integrate seamlessly into your existing setup without requiring additional modifications or adjustments to your suspension geometry.

Installation is within the capability of any RC enthusiast with basic mechanical knowledge and standard RC tools. The steering blocks simply bolt in place of the originals, and the included screws ensure you have all fasteners needed for assembly. Because these are precision-manufactured components, you won't encounter the common issues of poor fitment, stripped threads, or misaligned bearing surfaces that can plague lower-quality aftermarket parts. VITAVON's reputation in the hobby is built on this attention to detail and commitment to quality that matches or exceeds OEM standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will these steering blocks fit my ARRMA Kraton 4S or Outcast 4S? — Yes, absolutely. These steering blocks are designed as direct replacements for the original stock part number AR330523 and are specifically engineered for ARRMA Kraton 4S and Outcast 4S vehicles. Installation is straightforward, requiring only basic RC maintenance tools and mechanical knowledge.
  • What is the difference between V2 and V1 versions? — The primary difference is the bearing specification. The V2 version features upgraded bearing sizes: outside bearing increased to 19×8×6mm (from 17×8×5mm) and inside bearing upgraded to 21×12×5mm (from 18×12×4mm). These larger bearings reduce friction, improve steering response, and extend component lifespan. The V2 is a genuine upgrade and is recommended for all users. These upgraded specifications are only available on the V2; the V1 does not include this improvement.
  • Why should I upgrade from plastic steering blocks to aluminium? — Plastic steering blocks flex under load, especially during aggressive driving, high-speed cornering, or when navigating obstacles. This flex reduces steering precision and can eventually lead to cracking or failure. CNC-machined 7075 aluminium provides superior rigidity, maintains consistent steering geometry under stress, and lasts significantly longer. For anyone serious about RC performance or running their vehicle frequently, the upgrade delivers measurable improvements in handling and durability.
  • Are these suitable for competitive RC racing? — Yes, these steering blocks are suitable for competitive short course truck racing, buggy racing, and other ARRMA-based racing disciplines. The precision CNC machining and quality materials ensure consistent performance lap after lap, and the upgraded V2 bearing specification provides the responsiveness needed in competitive environments.
  • What tools do I need to install these? — Basic RC maintenance tools including hex drivers and screwdrivers suitable for small fasteners are required. The product includes all necessary assembly screws, so you won't need to source additional fasteners. Most RC enthusiasts already have these tools in their workshop.
  • Are these components weatherproof? — While the anodised aluminium finish resists corrosion, the bearings and internal components should be protected from prolonged exposure to water. The steering blocks are suitable for outdoor RC driving in typical conditions but should be cleaned and allowed to dry after wet weather use to maintain optimal performance and prevent bearing corrosion.
  • Do these work with other ARRMA vehicles? — These steering blocks are specifically engineered for ARRMA BLX 4S vehicles, particularly the Kraton 4S and Outcast 4S. Compatibility with other ARRMA models (such as 6S vehicles or older generation 4S models) is not guaranteed. Verify your vehicle model before purchasing to ensure correct fitment.
