Key Features

  • 4mm Bullet to Deans Male Connector — This dual-connector design allows you to connect chargers or power supplies with standard 4mm bullet connectors directly to RC ESCs or batteries fitted with Deans male plugs, ensuring universal compatibility across most modern RC applications and charging systems used throughout the UK RC community.
  • 14AWG Wire Gauge — The 14-gauge wire provides sufficient current-carrying capacity for safe, efficient charging of most RC LiPo and NiMH batteries without excessive voltage drop, meaning your battery charges reliably and your charger operates at peak efficiency every time.
  • Compact 150mm Length — At just 150mm long, this charge lead is specifically designed for ESC ends and tight battery compartments, allowing you to create tidy, professional-looking RC charging setups without excess cable cluttering your workbench or pit area.
  • High-Quality Connectors — The 4mm bullet connectors and Deans T-plug are manufactured to exacting standards, providing corrosion-resistant, secure connections that maintain contact integrity over hundreds of charge cycles, protecting your valuable RC equipment and ensuring charging safety.
  • Radient Brand Quality — Manufactured by Radient, a recognised name in RC charging accessories, this charge lead represents proven reliability and straightforward engineering that RC enthusiasts across the United Kingdom trust for their charging infrastructure.

Technical Performance

The Radient Charge Lead RDNAC010007 is engineered as a simple but critical connector solution in the RC charging ecosystem. Using 14AWG copper wire, this charge lead has been sized to handle the charging currents typical of modern LiPo battery chargers and power supplies without experiencing significant voltage drop over its 150mm length. The 4mm bullet connectors and Deans male plug are soldered with precision manufacturing techniques to ensure permanent, reliable connections that will not degrade through repeated use. The Deans connector format, officially known as the T-plug style connector, has become the industry standard for RC ESCs and battery pack connections in the UK RC hobby, making this charge lead universally compatible with nearly all modern brushless RC cars, trucks, buggies, crawlers and racing vehicles. The compact 150mm design specifically targets the space between charger output sockets and battery connectors on the ESC end of your RC setup, eliminating unnecessary cable while maintaining safe spacing. Whether you're charging a 2S, 3S, 4S or higher cell LiPo battery, or traditional NiMH battery packs, this charge lead handles the application safely and reliably. The build quality and connector specification ensure that this product will serve you through countless charging cycles, making it an excellent value spares addition to any RC hobby collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is this charge lead used for in my RC setup? — This charge lead acts as a connector bridge between your RC battery charger (which typically has 4mm bullet connector outputs) and your RC ESC battery connector (which uses a Deans male plug). It allows you to safely and conveniently connect your battery for charging without needing to solder new connectors or use adapter cables.
  • Is the 150mm length suitable for my charging station? — The 150mm length is specifically designed for ESC end charging, making it ideal if your charger and battery are relatively close together. This compact size helps create tidy, professional charging setups with minimal cable clutter. If you need a longer charge lead, Radient also manufactures longer variants.
  • What does 14AWG wire mean? — AWG stands for American Wire Gauge, and 14AWG represents the thickness of the copper wire inside the lead. A 14-gauge wire provides sufficient current capacity for safe charging of most RC battery packs, ensuring your charger can deliver power without voltage loss whilst maintaining safety standards.
  • Can I use this charge lead with any RC charger? — Yes, as long as your charger has standard 4mm bullet connector outputs, this charge lead is compatible. The Deans male connector end will work with any RC ESC, battery pack, or charging port using the Deans T-plug standard, which is the universal connector type across most UK RC applications.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. This is a straightforward connector cable with no moving parts or complex features. Anyone aged 14 or above can use it safely as part of their RC charging routine. It's an essential spares item whether you're just starting your RC journey or you're an experienced competitor.
  • What battery types can I charge through this lead? — This charge lead is universal and works with any battery type (LiPo, LiHV, NiMH, NiCd) as long as your charger and battery both use the specified connector types. The 14AWG wire safely handles the charging currents of most standard RC battery packs used in the UK hobby.
  • What is the difference between this and similar charge leads? — The Radient Charge Lead RDNAC010007 stands out for its compact 150mm ESC-specific design, heavy-duty 14AWG wire construction, and high-quality soldered connections from a trusted manufacturer. Its particular advantage is the short length, which makes it ideal for tight pit setups and creates cleaner, safer charging configurations than longer, unnecessary cables.
