Key Features

  • 750KV Rating — The 750KV specification means this motor will spin at approximately 750 revolutions per volt, making it suitable for a range of RC applications where moderate to high speed performance is desired, delivering the right balance between acceleration and top speed.
  • 14-Pole Design — The 14-pole stator configuration provides exceptional smoothness and efficiency compared to lower pole-count alternatives, resulting in more stable rpm delivery, reduced cogging, and improved overall motor responsiveness during driving or flight.
  • Outrunner Configuration — An outrunner brushless motor design means the outer case rotates whilst the stator remains stationary, which delivers superior torque characteristics and excellent heat dissipation properties, keeping the motor cooler during extended use and extending component lifespan.
  • Brushless Technology — Brushless motors offer significantly longer lifespan compared to brushed alternatives, require minimal maintenance, generate less electrical noise, and deliver more consistent power output with superior efficiency across the full throttle range.
  • Spektrum Engineering — Built by Spektrum, a recognised leader in spread spectrum technology, this motor benefits from decades of RC engineering expertise, rigorous quality control, and proven reliability that make it a trusted choice for RC enthusiasts throughout the UK and worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the 750KV specification and what does it mean for my RC car? — The 750KV rating indicates that the motor will spin at approximately 750 revolutions per minute (RPM) for every volt of electrical power supplied. This moderate KV rating makes the Avian 3521-750KV suitable for RC vehicles where you want balanced performance between acceleration and top speed, rather than extreme speed or extreme torque. Higher KV motors spin faster but produce less torque, whilst lower KV motors produce more torque but spin slower. For most RC car UK applications, 750KV represents an excellent middle ground.
  • What does 14-pole mean and why does it matter? — The 14-pole configuration refers to the number of magnetic poles in the motor's stator. More poles generally result in smoother operation, better efficiency, and more consistent rpm delivery compared to motors with fewer poles. The 14-pole design in the Avian 3521-750KV ensures you get smooth acceleration, reduced cogging, and improved responsiveness, which translates to better handling characteristics in your RC vehicle.
  • Is this an outrunner or inrunner motor, and what's the difference? — This is an outrunner brushless motor, meaning the outer can (bell) rotates around the stationary stator windings. Outrunner motors typically produce more torque at lower RPM and offer superior heat dissipation compared to inrunner designs, making them excellent for applications where smooth power delivery and thermal management are priorities. The rotating outer case of an outrunner also means you can directly attach a propeller or other load without a gearbox, which is one advantage of this design.
  • What ESC and battery type does this motor require? — The source materials do not specify ESC compatibility or battery requirements for this motor. We recommend contacting RC Model Shop or consulting the full Spektrum product documentation to determine the correct ESC rating and battery configuration for your specific application, as these will depend on your intended use case and vehicle setup.
  • Is this motor suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is a high-quality brushless motor from a respected manufacturer, successfully integrating any motor into an RC application requires knowledge of electronics, ESC programming, and mechanical assembly. Beginners new to brushless RC should consider purchasing ready to run RC models or seeking expert advice before attempting custom motor installations.
  • What vehicles can I use this motor in? — The source materials do not specify particular vehicle applications for this motor. The 750KV outrunner design makes it versatile across multiple RC platforms, but you should verify compatibility with your specific vehicle, ESC, and power system before purchasing. RC Model Shop staff can provide recommendations based on your intended application.
