Technical Performance
The main rotor headblock is a precision-engineered component that serves as the primary connection point for your Fusion 360's main rotor blades to the main shaft assembly. This part is manufactured to exacting tolerances to ensure smooth rotation, proper blade pitch control, and accurate response to swashplate commands. As a structural component in the main rotor system, the headblock must be perfectly balanced and aligned to maintain the helicopter's stability in hover and during forward flight. Genuine Blade parts like this headblock are made from materials selected for their durability and strength, capable of withstanding the stresses of regular flight operations and the occasional impact from crashes. The headblock integrates with your existing main shaft, dampers, washout mixing arms, and swashplate assembly to create a complete and harmonious rotor control system. For the Blade Fusion 360, maintaining genuine components throughout the main rotor system ensures that all elements work together precisely as the engineers at Blade intended, resulting in predictable and reliable flight behaviour that RC helicopter pilots depend on.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does the main rotor headblock do in my Fusion 360? — The main rotor headblock is the central hub that connects your main rotor blades to the main shaft. It's a critical structural component that allows the blades to change pitch in response to your transmitter inputs through the swashplate and washout mixing arms. Without a functioning headblock, your helicopter cannot achieve proper blade control or stable flight.
- Why should I buy a genuine Blade part instead of an aftermarket alternative? — Genuine Blade parts are engineered and tested specifically for the Fusion 360's design. They ensure perfect fitment, maintain the helicopter's original flight characteristics, and meet the exact tolerances required for safe and reliable operation. Using genuine parts protects your investment in your helicopter and ensures you get the performance you expect.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — This is a replacement and maintenance part for existing Fusion 360 owners rather than a standalone beginner product. However, if you own a Fusion 360 and need to repair or replace your main rotor headblock, it's an essential part to have on hand. Installation requires basic mechanical ability and reference to your helicopter's manual.
- How do I know if my headblock needs replacement? — Signs that your main rotor headblock may need replacement include visible cracks or damage after a crash, difficulty in achieving stable hover, inconsistent blade pitch response, or visible wear at the connection points where the blades attach. If you've had a significant crash, it's worth inspecting the headblock carefully before returning to flight.
- What other main rotor parts might I need to replace at the same time? — When replacing your headblock, you may also want to consider checking related components such as the main shaft (BLH5210), washout mixing arms (BLH5203), main grip set (BLH5202), dampers (BLH5205), and swashplate (BLH5206). Inspecting these parts for damage during a headblock replacement is good maintenance practice.
- Can I fit this headblock to a different Blade helicopter model? — No, this headblock is specifically designed for the Blade Fusion 360 and will not fit other helicopter models. Always verify you have the correct part number (Z-BLH5204) for your specific aircraft before purchasing. Blade produces different rotor systems for different models including the 270 CFX, 300 CFX, and 450 models, each with their own components.
