Key Features
- Carbon Fibre Construction — The mainrotor blades are manufactured from carbon fibre, a premium material that offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring maximum durability during flight whilst maintaining the precise balance critical for smooth helicopter operation without excessive vibration.
- Genuine Blade Component — These are authentic Blade replacement parts rather than aftermarket alternatives, meaning they meet the exact specifications and performance standards that the 270 CFX and Fusion 270 platforms require for optimal flight characteristics and reliability.
- Direct Compatibility — Designed specifically for the Blade 270 CFX and Fusion 270 helicopter platforms, these blades integrate seamlessly with your existing setup without requiring modifications or adjustments to your aircraft.
- Crash Repair Solution — These replacement blades provide an economical way to restore your helicopter to flying condition after damage, allowing you to continue enjoying your RC hobby without expensive complete airframe replacements.
- Performance Upgrade Option — Beyond crash repairs, these carbon fibre blades can serve as an upgrade component for pilots seeking enhanced flight characteristics and improved durability compared to standard plastic blade alternatives.
Technical Performance
The BLH C/F Mainrotor Blades represent the pinnacle of helicopter blade engineering for the 270 class. Carbon fibre construction delivers superior material properties compared to plastic alternatives, offering enhanced stiffness and reduced flex during aggressive flight manoeuvres whilst maintaining lightweight characteristics essential for helicopter performance. The blades are precision-manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring perfect balance that minimises vibration transmission to the helicopter frame and swashplate components. This balance precision is critical for smooth tail tracking, accurate control response, and extended bearing life within your helicopter's main rotor head assembly. The carbon fibre material resists the fatigue cracking that can affect plastic blades over extended use, particularly during high-speed or extreme-angle flight conditions. These blades work in conjunction with the main rotor head, shaft, and bearing assemblies to create the lifting force that keeps your 270 CFX or Fusion 270 airborne. The aerodynamic profile of these blades has been refined through extensive testing to optimise lift generation whilst minimising noise and energy consumption, meaning longer flight times and quieter operation for UK RC helicopter pilots.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these carbon fibre mainrotor blades suitable for beginners flying the 270 CFX or Fusion 270? — Yes, these genuine Blade replacement blades are appropriate for pilots of all experience levels. Beginners will benefit from the durability of carbon fibre construction, which means the blades are less likely to crack or break during learning flights. The precise balance of genuine Blade components also ensures smoother, more predictable handling characteristics that help new pilots develop good flying skills more quickly than with lower-quality alternatives.
- What is the difference between carbon fibre and plastic mainrotor blades? — Carbon fibre blades, like these BLH components, offer superior strength, rigidity, and durability compared to plastic alternatives. Carbon fibre resists fatigue cracking better, maintains balance more consistently over extended use, and provides enhanced performance during aggressive flight manoeuvres. Plastic blades are lighter and more affordable but more prone to cracking, flexing, and eventual failure, particularly for experienced pilots who fly aggressively or regularly.
- Do I need any special tools or knowledge to install these replacement blades? — Installation requires removal of the old blades from your helicopter's main rotor head assembly and attachment of the new carbon fibre blades. This is a straightforward task that most RC helicopter pilots can accomplish themselves. Your Fusion 270 manual contains detailed installation instructions, and our expert team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance if you have questions about the process.
- Will these blades fit my 270 CFX or Fusion 270 helicopter? — Yes, these BLH C/F Mainrotor Blades are specifically engineered for compatibility with the Blade 270 CFX and Fusion 270 helicopter platforms. Match the part number Z-BLH4829 in your helicopter's manual to confirm compatibility with your specific airframe variant.
- How often should I replace my helicopter's mainrotor blades? — Mainrotor blades should be inspected before each flying session for cracks, damage, or deformation. Most pilots replace blades when visible damage occurs or after a crash. Carbon fibre blades typically last longer than plastic alternatives before replacement becomes necessary, making them a better long-term investment for regular flyers.
- Can I use these blades on other Blade helicopter models? — These blades are specifically designed for the 270 CFX and Fusion 270 platforms. They are not compatible with other Blade helicopter sizes or models such as the 450 series or 300 series. Always verify part number compatibility before purchasing replacement components.
