These shocks are engineered to provide consistent damping, improved stability over varied terrain, and the responsive handling characteristics that serious RC competitors and weekend enthusiasts alike demand from their suspension systems.

Suspension is one of the most critical aspects of RC car performance, directly affecting how your vehicle corners, absorbs impacts, and maintains traction across different surfaces. The ARRMA Shock Set with its specific 20mm bore diameter and 188mm length represents a carefully engineered solution for vehicles that require this exact specification. Upgrading to a quality shock set like this one can transform your RC experience, offering noticeably improved control whether you're racing on a competition track, bashing through rough terrain, or simply enjoying recreational driving with your RC model.

For anyone searching for reliable RC car suspension components in the UK, this ARRMA shock set offers genuine manufacturer quality at a competitive price point. With the correct specifications for your vehicle, you'll enjoy better weight transfer, reduced body roll, and more predictable handling characteristics that make every drive more enjoyable.

Key Features

  • 20mm Bore Diameter — The 20mm bore specification ensures compatibility with ARRMA vehicles designed for this shock size, providing precise fitment and optimal damping characteristics for your RC car's suspension geometry and performance envelope.
  • 188mm Length — This extended 188mm length is engineered to provide the correct suspension travel and ride height for ARRMA models that require this specification, ensuring your vehicle maintains proper chassis geometry and handling balance.
  • Adjustable Oil Viscosity — The TBC cSt oil specification indicates tuneable damping characteristics, allowing you to fine-tune your suspension response based on track conditions, driving style, and weather by selecting appropriate oil viscosity levels to suit your preferences and racing environment.
  • ARRMA Engineering — As genuine ARRMA components, these shocks are manufactured to the brand's exacting standards, ensuring reliability, consistency, and performance characteristics that match the original equipment specifications for your vehicle.
  • Professional-Grade Construction — Built with precision engineering and quality materials, these shocks deliver smooth damping action and durability even under demanding driving conditions, whether you're competing or bashing.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Set represents serious suspension engineering designed to elevate your RC car's handling and performance across a wide range of driving conditions. With the precisely specified 20mm bore and 188mm length, these shocks are engineered to work harmoniously with ARRMA's suspension geometry, delivering consistent damping action that keeps your vehicle planted through corners and stable over rough terrain. The TBC cSt oil specification provides tuneable damping, meaning you can adjust the suspension stiffness to match your driving style, track conditions, and weather — lighter viscosity oils for looser, more responsive handling on smooth surfaces, or heavier oils for firmer damping on bumpy tracks or high-speed runs. The construction quality ensures that these shocks maintain their performance characteristics over extended use, with smooth rod action, consistent damping curves, and the durability expected from genuine ARRMA components. Whether you're operating your RC car in dry conditions or tackling muddy terrain after rain, properly maintained ARRMA shocks will deliver reliable suspension performance. The engineering behind this shock set means you'll experience improved weight transfer during acceleration and braking, reduced chassis roll during cornering, and better overall traction as the suspension maintains consistent contact with the ground.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA RC models use the 20mm bore, 188mm length shock specification? — This shock set is designed for specific ARRMA vehicles that require these exact dimensions. Always verify your vehicle's manual or parts diagram to confirm this is the correct shock specification for your particular RC model before purchasing.
  • Can I adjust the damping on these ARRMA shocks? — Yes, the TBC cSt oil viscosity specification means you can tune the damping characteristics by selecting different oil weights. Lighter oils (lower cSt rating) provide softer damping for smoother rides and more responsive handling, whilst heavier oils (higher cSt rating) offer firmer damping for stiffer suspension feel. This adjustability allows you to dial in your suspension performance to match track conditions, weather, and your personal driving preferences.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, this is the authentic ARRMA Shock Set with model number Z-ARA330749, manufactured to ARRMA's quality standards and specifications. Purchasing genuine ARRMA components ensures compatibility, reliability, and performance consistency with your RC vehicle.
  • How do I know if these shocks will fit my RC car? — The 20mm bore diameter and 188mm length are specific dimensions for certain ARRMA models. Check your vehicle's manual, parts diagram, or contact our RC Model Shop team to confirm this shock set matches your particular RC car before ordering.
  • What makes ARRMA shocks better than generic aftermarket alternatives? — ARRMA shocks are engineered specifically for ARRMA vehicles, ensuring perfect compatibility, optimised damping characteristics for the vehicle's suspension geometry, and quality construction that delivers consistent performance over time. Genuine manufacturer components also provide warranty coverage and support from authorised retailers like RC Model Shop.
  • Can I use these shocks for both racing and bashing? — Absolutely. By selecting the appropriate oil viscosity, you can tune these shocks for virtually any driving style or terrain condition. Many RC enthusiasts use the same shock bodies with different oil weights depending on whether they're racing on a competition track or enjoying weekend bashing sessions.
