This complete shock assembly set is pre-filled with high-quality silicone shock oil and features anodised aluminium bodies that combine durability with a professional finish. Whether you're running an RC buggy, monster truck, short course truck or stadium truck from the ARRMA range, these shocks provide the responsive handling and smooth suspension travel that serious RC hobbyists expect. Perfect for UK RC car enthusiasts looking to enhance their vehicle's suspension performance, this shock set transforms your driving experience with its precision-engineered design and quality components.

Ready to bolt straight onto your ARRMA vehicle, these assembled shocks eliminate the need for complex installation procedures whilst maintaining full tunability through included preload spacers. The 103mm length (centre to centre) and 11mm bore make these shocks compatible with a wide range of popular ARRMA models, from the Big Rock 4X4 monster truck to the Typhon buggy series. For drivers in the UK who want genuine, manufacturer-approved suspension parts that deliver reliability and performance, this shock set represents excellent value and authentic ARRMA quality.

The shocks arrive completely assembled with all necessary components included, meaning you can have your vehicle upgraded and ready to hit the track or trail in minutes. The high-quality construction ensures these shocks will handle the demands of both casual weekend bashing and more intensive driving sessions with consistent performance.

Key Features

  • High-quality anodised aluminium shock bodies — The shock absorbers feature anodised aluminium construction that provides excellent durability whilst keeping weight to a minimum, which is crucial for maintaining optimal vehicle balance and responsiveness in your RC car or truck.
  • Tough molded shock caps and seal cartridges — These robust components protect the internal shock mechanisms from dust, dirt and debris whilst maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring your suspension performs reliably in various driving conditions.
  • Strong 3mm stainless steel shock shafts — The thick stainless steel shafts resist corrosion and bending, providing long-lasting durability that means your shocks will maintain their performance characteristics through extended use on UK tracks and off-road terrain.
  • Tough composite shock rod ends and spring retainers — High-quality composite materials resist wear and maintain consistent performance over hundreds of hours of use, whilst the integral spring retainers keep your chosen springs securely in place.
  • Smooth silicone O-rings — Premium silicone O-rings provide consistent dampening throughout the shock's travel range, delivering predictable handling characteristics that respond to your driving inputs with precision.
  • Pre-filled with 500cSt silicone shock oil — The shocks arrive pre-filled with high-quality 500-centistoke silicone oil that provides balanced dampening for general-purpose RC driving, offering a ready-to-use solution straight from the box.
  • 1.3mm x 2-hole pistons — The dual-hole piston design allows shock oil to flow efficiently through the piston during compression and extension strokes, creating smooth suspension action that absorbs impacts whilst maintaining control.
  • Supplied assembled and ready to bolt on — These shocks arrive completely assembled, eliminating the need for time-consuming assembly and allowing you to get your vehicle running immediately after fitting your choice of springs.
  • Multiple preload spacers included — The set includes 2x 3mm, 2x 5mm and 2x 7mm preload spacers, allowing you to fine-tune your ride height and suspension geometry to match your driving style, track conditions and vehicle setup preferences.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Set Z-ARA330677 represents professional-grade suspension engineering designed specifically for competitive and recreational RC driving. With a bore diameter of 11mm and an overall length of 103mm (centre to centre), these shocks offer the perfect balance between response time and travel distance for vehicles in the ARRMA range. The 500cSt silicone shock oil provides medium dampening that works well for general-purpose driving on tarmac, gravel and grass surfaces, making these shocks highly versatile for UK RC car enthusiasts with varied driving interests. The internally-mounted 1.3mm diameter, 2-hole pistons have been engineered to provide smooth suspension action across the full range of bump travel, preventing harsh bottoming whilst maintaining sufficient support during aggressive cornering. The anodised aluminium construction combined with stainless steel shafts and composite bushings creates a suspension system that resists corrosion and maintains precision tolerances even after extended exposure to the British climate. These shocks are supplied completely assembled with all seals, springs and O-rings in place, meaning they can be installed on compatible ARRMA vehicles within minutes and are ready for immediate use. The inclusion of multiple preload spacers (3mm, 5mm and 7mm options) enables drivers to adjust their vehicle's ride height and suspension geometry, allowing for fine-tuning of handling characteristics across different driving conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA models are these shocks compatible with? — These shocks fit a wide range of ARRMA 1/10 and 1/8 scale vehicles including the Big Rock 4X4 (223S and 3S), Granite 4X4 and Granite Boost models, Senton 4X4 and Senton Boost short course trucks, Vorteks Boost stadium truck, and the Typhon buggy series in both brushed and brushless configurations. Check the full fitment list on the ARRMA website to confirm compatibility with your specific model.
  • Do these shocks come pre-assembled and ready to use? — Yes, these shocks are supplied completely assembled and pre-filled with 500cSt silicone shock oil, meaning you only need to install them on your vehicle and fit your choice of springs before driving. This saves time compared to shocks that require manual filling and assembly.
  • What shock oil viscosity is included? — The shocks are filled with 500-centistoke (500cSt) silicone shock oil, which provides a medium dampening level suitable for general recreational and competitive RC driving on various surfaces. This viscosity offers a good balance between responsiveness and bump absorption for most drivers.
  • Can I adjust the ride height on these shocks? — Yes, the shock set includes multiple preload spacers (2x 3mm, 2x 5mm and 2x 7mm) that allow you to adjust your vehicle's ride height by adding or removing spacers between the spring and shock cap. This enables fine-tuning of suspension geometry to suit different driving conditions and preferences.
  • What springs do I need for these shocks? — ARRMA recommends springs such as part #AR330538 or #AR330459, which are sold separately. You should verify the correct spring specification for your particular vehicle model before purchasing, as different ARRMA models may require different spring rates.
  • Are these shocks suitable for beginner RC drivers? — These shocks are ideal for drivers at all experience levels, from beginners getting their first RC vehicle to experienced competitors. The pre-assembled design and included preload spacers mean beginners can install and adjust them easily, whilst the quality construction ensures they perform reliably.
  • What are the shock dimensions? — The shocks measure 103mm in length (centre to centre), with an 11mm internal bore diameter. These dimensions make them compatible with many ARRMA 1/10 and 1/8 scale models, though you should always verify fitment with your specific vehicle before purchasing.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, the Z-ARA330677 is an official ARRMA part number and is manufactured to the same quality standards as all genuine ARRMA components. When you purchase from authorised dealers like RC Model Shop, you receive genuine products backed by full warranty support.
