Key Features
- 3S (11.1V) LiPo Chemistry — This three-cell lithium polymer configuration delivers 11.1V nominal voltage, which is the standard power requirement for a huge range of RC models available in the UK market, including many brushless motor equipped RC cars, trucks and buggies that require this exact voltage specification.
- 5000mAh Capacity — With 5000 milliamp-hours of stored energy, this battery provides substantial runtime for RC models, allowing you to enjoy extended driving sessions without frequent battery swaps, whilst remaining compact enough to fit into most modern RC vehicle battery bays.
- 50C Continuous Discharge Rating — The 50C rating means this battery can safely deliver extremely high current levels (250 amps maximum with the 5000mAh capacity), making it suitable for high-performance brushless motor setups that demand instant throttle response and sustained power delivery under demanding driving conditions.
- XT60 Connector — The XT60 connector is one of the most popular connector types in the RC hobby, featured on countless RTR (ready-to-run) RC models from leading manufacturers, ensuring compatibility with a vast selection of RC cars, buggies, trucks and specialist vehicles available from RC retailers across the UK.
- Compact Dimensions — Measuring just 125mm in length, 44mm in width and 31mm in height, this LiPo pack is engineered to fit into tight battery bays on modern RC vehicles, allowing you to achieve optimal weight distribution and chassis balance without compromising on capacity or performance.
- Soft Case Protection — The battery is housed in a protective soft case that shields the individual cells from physical damage during transport and use, whilst remaining flexible enough to conform to the battery bay of your RC model, and the protective wrapping also helps prevent accidental short circuits.
- Suitable for Ages 14+ — This battery is recommended for users aged 14 years and older, reflecting the responsible handling and charging procedures required when working with lithium polymer batteries, which demand respect and proper care throughout their operational lifetime.
Technical Performance
The Radient LiPo 3S 5000mAh 11.1V 50C XT60 represents thoughtful engineering of modern lithium polymer cell technology, specifically optimised for the requirements of contemporary RC enthusiasts in the UK. The 50C discharge rating is particularly significant for high-performance RC applications; this specification allows the battery to safely deliver 250 amps of continuous current (calculated as 5000mAh × 50C = 250A), which means it can power demanding brushless motor systems that draw substantial current during acceleration and high-speed running. The three-cell configuration producing 11.1V nominal voltage is the industry standard for a comprehensive range of RC vehicles, from 1/10-scale electric RC buggies and stadium trucks to larger touring car platforms and dedicated crawler systems. The 5000mAh capacity strikes an excellent balance between runtime and weight; whilst smaller capacity packs may limit your driving time between charges, larger packs would add unnecessary weight that compromises handling and acceleration. The soft case construction protects the battery cells against mechanical stress and potential damage during transport to the track or field, whilst the XT60 connector ensures secure, reliable electrical connection with minimal voltage drop across the interface. The build quality reflects Radient's commitment to delivering batteries that offer both performance and safety, with properly balanced cells that charge and discharge evenly to maximise lifespan and consistent power delivery throughout the battery's operational window.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What RC models is this 3S LiPo battery compatible with? — This battery is designed for RC models that accept 3S (11.1V) LiPo packs with an XT60 connector and space for a battery measuring 125 × 44 × 31mm. Compatible vehicles include many popular brushless RC cars, buggies, trucks and off-road models available in the UK. Always check your specific RC model's instruction manual to verify the required connector type, voltage specification and battery bay dimensions before purchasing.
- What does the 50C discharge rating mean? — The 50C rating indicates how much current the battery can safely discharge continuously. With a 5000mAh capacity, a 50C rating means the battery can deliver up to 250 amps of continuous current, which is suitable for high-performance brushless motor systems that demand substantial power for rapid acceleration and sustained high-speed driving.
- How long will this battery last between charges? — Runtime depends on several factors including your RC model's weight, motor efficiency, driving style and terrain. A 5000mAh capacity generally provides 15-30 minutes of typical recreational driving in most 1/10-scale RC vehicles, though competitive racing or aggressive driving may reduce this significantly, whilst gentle cruising may extend it.
- Is this battery safe for beginners? — LiPo batteries require responsible handling and proper charging procedures. This battery carries an age recommendation of 14+, reflecting the need for careful use. Beginners should familiarise themselves with LiPo safety practices, including proper charging with a compatible LiPo charger, storage in a fireproof bag, and avoidance of physical damage or over-discharging.
- What charger do I need for this battery? — You will need a dedicated LiPo battery charger that supports 3S charging. The charger should be capable of balancing individual cell voltages to maintain battery health. Many modern RC chargers specifically designed for LiPo packs include this functionality. Do not attempt to charge this battery with standard NiMH or NiCd chargers, as this will damage the battery and create a safety hazard.
- How should I store this battery? — Store the battery in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. For long-term storage, it is recommended to discharge the battery to approximately 3.8V per cell (roughly 11.4V total for a 3S pack) and store it in a fireproof bag or container. Check the battery monthly and recharge as needed to maintain storage voltage.
- What is the difference between this Radient battery and other 3S LiPo packs? — The Radient brand is recognised for delivering excellent value without compromising on quality and safety. The 50C discharge rating on this particular pack makes it suitable for high-performance applications, whilst the 5000mAh capacity provides a good balance of runtime and weight. Competing batteries in this category may offer different capacity or discharge ratings; always compare the specific requirements of your RC model before selecting a battery.
