Key Features
- 2S Cell Configuration (7.4V Nominal) — The dual-cell design provides a nominal voltage of 7.4V, which is the industry standard for 2S applications and offers excellent compatibility with a vast range of brushless ESCs, motors, and ready-to-run RC car UK models, ensuring you can integrate this battery into existing setups without compatibility concerns.
- 5000mAh Capacity — The 5000mAh capacity delivers substantial runtime for extended play sessions, allowing you to enjoy longer periods of driving between charges without constantly returning to the charger, making this pack perfect for weekend bashers and competitive drivers alike.
- 50C Discharge Rate — This specification indicates the battery's ability to safely deliver high current outputs, with the 50C rating meaning the pack can output 250 amps continuously (50 multiplied by 5 amps), providing the responsive power delivery and acceleration characteristics that brushless RC systems demand during aggressive driving.
- Deans (HCT) Connector — The universally recognised Deans connector is one of the most common connectors in RC hobby applications, ensuring compatibility with the vast majority of modern brushless ESCs, speed controllers, and ready-to-run RC vehicles available in the UK market, whilst providing secure connections and low-resistance power transfer.
- Soft Case Protection — The integrated soft case construction provides essential cushioning and protection during transport, storage, and daily use, helping to extend battery lifespan by preventing physical damage, impact-related cell damage, and environmental exposure that could compromise performance or safety.
- Compact and Lightweight Design — Weighing just 263 grams with dimensions of 130mm length, 43mm width, and only 21mm height, this battery pack fits comfortably into most RC chassis designs without creating balance issues or requiring custom mounting solutions, making it an excellent choice for vehicles where weight distribution matters.
- Age Recommendation 14+ — This product is recommended for users aged 14 years and older, reflecting the fact that LiPo battery handling requires basic understanding of charging safety, storage protocols, and operational procedures that older users and experienced hobbyists can reliably manage.
Technical Performance
The Radient LiPo 2S 5000mAh 7.4V 50C pack is engineered to deliver consistent, reliable performance across a wide spectrum of RC applications, from casual weekend driving to more demanding competitive use. The 7.4V nominal output sits at the sweet spot for brushless motor systems, offering a balanced compromise between speed, torque, and runtime that doesn't overwhelm mid-range motor specifications whilst providing sufficient voltage for modern brushless ESCs to operate at optimal efficiency. The 50C discharge rating is particularly significant for performance-oriented drivers, as this specification ensures the battery can sustain the high current demands of brushless systems without voltage sag that would compromise acceleration response or top speed. For reference, a 50C rating on a 5000mAh pack means continuous discharge capability of 250 amps, though practical applications typically utilise 30-40% of this capacity during normal driving. The soft case construction utilises proven LiPo enclosure materials that balance durability with flexibility, allowing the pack to withstand the vibrations and impacts inherent in RC driving whilst remaining compact enough for installation in constrained chassis spaces. Radient's manufacturing standards ensure consistent cell quality and balanced cell chemistry throughout the pack, which directly translates to predictable discharge curves, extended cycle life, and the reliability that UK RC enthusiasts depend on for their setups. The Deans connector specification ensures low-resistance connections, minimising power loss and heat generation during high-current delivery phases, which is particularly important for maintaining performance consistency across extended driving sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Radient 2S 5000mAh 7.4V LiPo suitable for brushless RC systems? — Yes, this battery is specifically designed for brushless applications. The 7.4V nominal voltage and 50C discharge rate make it ideal for modern brushless ESCs and motors. The 5000mAh capacity provides excellent runtime whilst remaining lightweight enough for most 1/10 scale and similar RC platforms. The 50C rating ensures responsive power delivery and consistent performance even under high load conditions typical of brushless systems.
- What RC vehicles can this 2S LiPo battery power? — The Radient 2S 5000mAh pack is compatible with any RC vehicle or application requiring a 2S LiPo battery with a Deans connector, including RC buggies, RC cars UK, RC short course trucks, RC crawlers, and numerous ready-to-run models from major manufacturers. The compact dimensions and weight make it particularly suitable for mid-scale vehicles where the 7.4V nominal voltage is appropriate for the motor and ESC specifications.
- How long does this battery take to charge? — Charge time depends on your specific charger and charging current selection. Using a standard 1C charge rate (5 amps for this 5000mAh pack), you would expect approximately one hour to full charge. Higher amperage chargers can reduce this time, though charging at rates exceeding the manufacturer's recommendations may reduce battery lifespan.
- Is this battery suitable for beginners? — The Radient 2S LiPo pack is appropriate for users aged 14 and older who understand the basics of LiPo battery safety, including proper charging procedures, storage requirements, and handling protocols. Beginners should familiarise themselves with LiPo safety guidelines before use, such as charging with an appropriate balance charger, avoiding over-discharge, and storing in cool conditions. Experienced RC enthusiasts will find this pack straightforward to integrate into their setups.
- What does the 50C rating mean? — The 50C rating refers to the maximum continuous discharge rate, which is calculated by multiplying the capacity by the C rating. For this 5000mAh pack, 50C means the battery can safely deliver 250 amps continuously (5 amps × 50 = 250 amps). In practical RC driving, this specification ensures the battery can handle the power demands of brushless motors without voltage sag, maintaining responsive acceleration and consistent top speed throughout the discharge cycle.
- What type of charger do I need? — You will need a LiPo-compatible balance charger capable of charging 2S batteries. The balance charger should support the Deans connector type or you may need an adapter. A quality balance charger is essential for maintaining cell balance, extending battery life, and ensuring safe charging protocols are followed consistently.
- How should I store this battery? — Store the Radient 2S LiPo pack in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The ideal storage voltage is around 3.8V per cell (approximately 7.6V for a 2S pack). If storing for extended periods, charge or discharge the pack to this storage voltage to maximise lifespan and maintain cell health. Store in the included soft case to protect against physical damage.
- Is the Deans connector compatible with my RC equipment? — The Deans (HCT) connector is one of the most universally adopted connectors in RC hobby applications, particularly for brushless systems. It is compatible with the vast majority of modern ESCs, chargers, and RC vehicles available in the UK market. If your existing equipment uses a different connector type, you can obtain connector adapters or have the connector changed by an experienced RC technician.
