Overview

The RadioLink RC4GS-V2 2.4GHz 4-Channel Transmitter with dual receivers represents a serious step forward in affordable, high-quality RC radio systems for the UK market. Designed specifically for RC cars and boats, this popular surface transmitter delivers professional-grade performance at a price point that makes it accessible to both beginners and experienced RC enthusiasts. Whether you're piloting a crawler, monster truck, short-course truck, drifting RC car, basher, or any type of RC boat, the RC4GS-V2 provides the reliability, range, and control features you need to get the absolute best from your model.

What sets the RC4GS-V2 apart from other budget-conscious 4-channel RC radios is the inclusion of not one but two high-quality receivers in the box. You get the R6FG-V3 receiver with built-in gyro stabilisation and the standard R6F-V2 receiver, giving you flexibility to set up multiple vehicles or switch between configurations without purchasing additional radio gear. The gyro-equipped R6FG-V3 is particularly valuable for drifting, high-speed cornering, and any application where smooth, stable turning is essential. This is a ready-to-run RC system that arrives complete with everything you need to start driving immediately after charging your batteries.

Built on the same proven FHSS spread spectrum technology as RadioLink's more advanced AT9S Pro transmitter, the RC4GS-V2 delivers genuine 400-metre ground control distance with exceptional interference rejection across both the same frequency band and different frequency bands. The transmission system employs 67 channels with pseudo-random frequency hopping, ensuring your model maintains a secure link even in crowded RC environments. With a class-leading 12-millisecond response time across all four channels, you'll experience instantaneous control response that prevents sparks interference even when operating near combustion engine models.

Key Features

  • 400-Metre Control Range with FHSS Technology — The RC4GS-V2 utilises frequency-hopping spread spectrum with 67 channels and pseudo-random hopping patterns, providing a control distance of up to 400 metres on the ground. This extended range is comparable to much more expensive professional systems and makes the radio ideal for large-scale outdoor driving, rescue operations, and competitive racing where consistent link quality is paramount.
  • Dual Receivers Included (R6FG-V3 Gyro and R6F-V2 Standard) — Uniquely, this package includes two different receivers, offering unprecedented flexibility. The R6FG-V3 features integrated gyro stabilisation which automatically assists road-holding during turns, preventing high-speed drifting and slide-outs. The R6F-V2 standard receiver provides baseline 6-channel operation for models where gyro assistance isn't required or desired, allowing you to configure multiple vehicles from a single transmitter purchase.
  • Real-Time Model Battery Voltage Telemetry — The transmitter displays live telemetry data including receiver voltage, RSSI signal strength, and critically, your model's battery voltage in real-time on the transmitter screen. Support extends to maximum 8S LiPo battery configurations, with no additional telemetry module required when using compatible receivers like the R7FG or R8F. This feature eliminates guesswork about remaining battery capacity during long driving sessions.
  • Integrated Gyro with Adjustable Sensitivity — The R6FG-V3 receiver packed with this system features a built-in gyro that stabilises vehicle handling during high-speed manoeuvres and cornering. Gyro sensitivity is customisable via the STD mode or Channel 3 control, allowing you to maximise or minimise the gyro function depending on driving conditions, vehicle weight, and personal preference. This transforms handling characteristics on crawlers, drifting platforms, and basher trucks.
  • Dual Programmable Mix Control — The RC4GS-V2 features two fully programmable mixer channels that can combine any two channels for advanced control functions. For timber trucks and crawlers, this enables front-wheel-to-rear-wheel mixing, reducing turning radius and improving manoeuvrability through tight obstacles. Programmable mixing opens possibilities for complex control schemes limited only by your creativity.
  • 10 Model Memories with Subsidiary ID Assignment — Store up to 10 different model configurations in the transmitter's onboard memory, each with unique receiver IDs, trim settings, and control parameters. The ability to assign arbitrary IDs among up to 10 different receivers means you can bind multiple vehicles and switch between them instantly, making this radio perfect for multi-vehicle RC enthusiasts and those running rescue operations across large areas.
  • 12-Millisecond Parallel Response Rate — All four channels respond simultaneously within 12 milliseconds, delivering instantaneous control authority even in the most demanding driving situations. The transmitter's STM32F103RB processor and receiver's industrial 32-bit ARM Cortex M0 processor, combined with the industrial-grade CC2500 RF chip from the United States, ensure zero lag between stick input and model response, even when operating next to other RC equipment.
  • Ergonomic Design with Improved Controls — Based on feedback from hundreds of experienced RC racers, RadioLink completely redesigned the throttle trigger, grip thickness, and switch locations. The trigger features rational length and tension for precise throttle adjustment, with a threaded design preventing slip during long practice sessions or in hot, sweaty conditions. An FPV display holder with M6 thread (English 1/4 inch screw) accommodates modern mobile phone FPV systems, and the included lanyard provides weight and balance customisation.
  • Universal Battery Compatibility with Reverse Polarity Protection — The RC4GS-V2 operates from six AA alkaline batteries, 2S to 4S LiPo batteries, or 18650 lithium rechargeable cells with JST connectors. A comprehensive reverse polarity protection circuit with voltage protection software safeguards vital transmitter components from incorrect battery installation. The universal JST connector ensures compatibility with virtually any battery configuration found in UK RC shops.
  • USB Software Upgrade Port — The integrated USB upgrade port allows you to update transmitter firmware directly from your computer using intuitive software that guides you through the update process. This future-proofs your investment, ensuring you can access new features, improvements, and compatibility updates for years after purchase without visiting a technician.
  • High-Voltage Servo Support — Both included receivers support high-voltage servo operation, enabling the use of modern, powerful servos that deliver faster response and greater torque than conventional equipment. This compatibility future-proofs your system and allows upgrading to premium servo options as your skills and model requirements advance.
  • Fail-Safe Protection on All Four Channels — Programmable fail-safe settings on channels 1 through 4 ensure your model comes to a controlled stop or neutral position if radio link is lost, protecting against runaway vehicles in public spaces and preventing damage to your model.

Technical Performance

The RC4GS-V2 represents a significant engineering achievement in affordable RC radio systems. At its heart sits a sophisticated control architecture: the transmitter employs an STM32F103RB processor to handle input processing and transmission, whilst the receiver utilises an industrial 32-bit ARM Cortex M0 processor running on the trusted CC2500 RF chip from the United States. This pairing ensures rock-solid reliability that matches systems costing three times the price. The FHSS spread spectrum protocol with 67 frequency-hopping channels creates a secure, interference-resistant link that performs excellently even in crowded RC environments where multiple operators share the same frequency band. The 12-millisecond parallel response rate means all four channels update simultaneously, preventing the asymmetrical lag that plagues cheaper systems. Build quality throughout is exceptional, with aviation-grade components and robust mechanical switching. The transmitter accepts power from six AA alkaline batteries, any 2S to 4S LiPo battery, or 18650 lithium cells, making it adaptable to whatever power sources you have available in your RC pit. The included R6FG-V3 receiver integrates sophisticated gyro stabilisation circuitry that automatically corrects oversteer and understeer tendencies during cornering, with user-adjustable sensitivity to suit different vehicle weights, tyre compounds, and driving styles. The standard R6F-V2 receiver provides straightforward 6-channel operation without gyro for models where such stabilisation isn't required. Both receivers support the full range of compatible accessories including telemetry modules, GPS components, and auxiliary expansion boards, allowing you to grow your system capabilities without replacing core hardware.
