The left and right caster blocks work together to optimise your RC car's handling characteristics, making them a crucial upgrade for anyone serious about their RC hobby.
These red-anodised caster blocks are carefully machined from premium 6061-T6 aluminium, a material recognised throughout the RC industry for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and precision engineering capabilities. Unlike standard plastic alternatives, aluminium caster blocks provide superior rigidity and durability, allowing your RC car to maintain accurate geometry and control even under aggressive driving conditions. The brilliant anodized finish not only adds vibrant colour to your vehicle but also provides corrosion resistance that keeps your RC car looking fresh and performing reliably year after year.
The high-contrast laser etched TRX logo adds a professional touch to your build, showcasing your commitment to quality components. For anyone upgrading their RC suspension system or building a competition-grade RC car, these genuine Traxxas caster blocks are the authentic choice trusted by RC enthusiasts across the UK and beyond.
Key Features
- 6061-T6 Aluminium Construction — These caster blocks are machined from a solid block of premium 6061-T6 aluminium, which is specifically chosen for its superior strength, precision machinability, and excellent fatigue resistance, ensuring your suspension components maintain accurate geometry and durability through countless RC driving sessions.
- Billet Machined Design — Each caster block is precisely machined rather than cast, delivering tighter tolerances and more consistent performance compared to plastic alternatives, which directly translates to improved handling and control in your RC car.
- Red-Anodised Finish — The brilliant anodized finish provides multiple benefits: it adds vibrant colour that stands out on your RC vehicle, offers enhanced corrosion resistance to protect against the elements, and creates a durable protective layer that withstands the rigours of regular RC driving.
- High-Contrast Laser Etched Logo — The precision laser-etched TRX logo features exceptional contrast and clarity, adding a professional appearance to your RC build whilst serving as a quality marker that identifies you as someone who uses genuine Traxxas components.
- Left and Right Configuration — This set includes both left and right caster blocks, allowing you to upgrade both sides of your suspension geometry simultaneously for balanced handling and optimal performance across your entire RC vehicle.
- Suspension Geometry Optimisation — By replacing stock caster blocks with these precision-engineered alternatives, you improve your RC car's suspension geometry, which enhances steering response, cornering stability, and overall handling characteristics during driving.
- Enhanced Ruggedness — The superior material strength of 6061-T6 aluminium means these caster blocks can withstand impacts and extreme driving conditions better than plastic components, reducing the likelihood of damage and extending the service life of your suspension system.
Technical Performance
These Traxxas caster blocks represent a significant engineering upgrade for your RC car's suspension system. The 6061-T6 aluminium material is a premium aerospace-grade alloy that offers exceptional rigidity combined with lightweight characteristics—a critical combination for RC performance. Unlike plastic C-hubs that can flex under load and cause handling inconsistencies, these solid aluminium components maintain precise geometry even during aggressive cornering and high-speed manoeuvres. The billet machining process ensures that every component meets tight tolerances, typically within fractions of a millimetre, which means your RC car's suspension will perform consistently session after session. The red-anodised finish isn't merely cosmetic; the anodization process creates a hard oxide layer on the aluminium surface that provides genuine corrosion protection, making these components suitable for use in various UK weather conditions. For RC enthusiasts building competition-grade vehicles or seeking to maximise the lifespan and performance of their RC suspension, the precision engineering and material quality of these caster blocks deliver measurable improvements in handling, durability, and appearance. The laser-etched logo demonstrates Traxxas's commitment to attention to detail, with the high-contrast marking achieved through precision laser technology that won't fade or wear away under normal use.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a caster block and why do I need one for my RC car? — Caster blocks, also called C-hubs, are critical suspension components that control the angle at which your wheels sit relative to the vertical plane. They directly affect your RC car's steering response, cornering stability, and overall handling characteristics. Upgrading to precision-engineered aluminium caster blocks like these Traxxas components improves suspension geometry accuracy, which translates to more predictable handling and better performance whether you're bashing for fun or competing in RC racing events.
- Will these red caster blocks fit my Traxxas X-Series RC model? — These caster blocks are specifically designed for Traxxas X-Series vehicles and come as a left and right pair to replace the standard components. To confirm compatibility with your specific model, check your vehicle's manual or contact the RC Model Shop team who can verify that these parts will work with your particular Traxxas RC car.
- What is the difference between aluminium and plastic caster blocks? — Aluminium caster blocks offer superior rigidity, precision, and durability compared to plastic alternatives. Plastic components can flex under load, which degrades handling consistency and reduces the accuracy of your suspension geometry. Aluminium maintains its shape and tolerances through thousands of driving sessions, making it the preferred choice for anyone serious about RC performance and reliability. Additionally, the red-anodised aluminium finish provides corrosion resistance that plastic simply cannot match.
- Are these caster blocks suitable for high-performance RC driving? — Yes, absolutely. These precision-machined 6061-T6 aluminium caster blocks are engineered for serious RC use, whether you're driving competitively or pushing your RC car to its limits during weekend bashing sessions. The superior material strength and precision machining ensure consistent performance under demanding conditions, making them an excellent upgrade for any RC enthusiast looking to maximise their vehicle's handling and durability.
- Will upgrading my caster blocks improve my RC car's handling? — Upgrading to quality aluminium caster blocks like these Traxxas components can definitely improve your RC car's handling characteristics. The precise machining ensures accurate suspension geometry, the rigid aluminium construction maintains that geometry under stress, and the premium construction quality delivers more consistent and predictable steering response. The extent of improvement will depend on your current setup, but most RC drivers notice better cornering stability and more responsive steering after upgrading to these components.
- How durable are these red-anodised caster blocks? — The 6061-T6 aluminium material is exceptionally durable and resistant to fatigue cracking, whilst the anodized finish provides a hard protective oxide layer that guards against corrosion. These components are built to withstand years of regular RC use in UK weather conditions. The laser-etched logo won't fade or wear away, and the anodization provides lasting protection against the moisture and salt that can damage less robust components.
