Overview

The ARRMA Handbrake Module Z-ARA311025 is a precision-engineered mechanical braking system designed to unlock advanced driving techniques on your ARRMA All-Road RC model. This assembled component transforms your RC car UK setup by enabling you to perform authentic handbrake turns and initiate drifts with confidence. Whether you're looking to master intermediate driving skills or simply add a new dimension of control to your RC experience, this handbrake module delivers the mechanical sophistication needed to take your model to the next level. As a crucial upgrade for serious RC enthusiasts, this ready-to-fit component comes sub-assembled to ensure quick and simple installation without compromising on quality or performance.

Built by ARRMA, a recognised leader in high-performance RC vehicles, the Handbrake Module represents genuine engineering excellence. The system combines strong steel construction with tough composite materials to ensure durability through countless hours of active use. This is not simply an accessory—it's a functional upgrade that fundamentally changes how you interact with your RC car, allowing you to execute driving techniques previously impossible with standard braking alone. The modular design means you retain the flexibility to use your vehicle in multiple configurations whilst maintaining the option to add handbrake functionality whenever you choose.

Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic RC knowledge, as the module comes pre-assembled and designed for quick fitment to compatible ARRMA All-Road models. The inclusion of multiple servo horn options (23T, 24T and 25T) ensures compatibility with a wide range of standard servo configurations, making this an accessible upgrade for owners of ready to run RC cars looking to expand their capabilities.

Key Features

  • Mechanical Handbrake System — This dedicated handbrake module adds a secondary braking system to the rear wheels of your ARRMA vehicle, allowing you to lock the rear brakes independently from the main drive system. This enables authentic handbrake turns and drift initiation that would be impossible with standard RC car braking alone, opening up an entirely new skillset for drivers.
  • Pre-Assembled and Ready to Fit — The module arrives fully assembled, eliminating the need for complex construction or calibration before installation. You simply need to mount it to your compatible ARRMA model and integrate it with your radio control system, dramatically reducing setup time compared to building from component parts.
  • Strong Steel and Composite Construction — The combination of durable steel components and tough composite materials ensures the handbrake module can withstand the repeated stress and impact of intensive driving. This robust engineering approach means the system remains reliable through countless drifts, turns and bashings without degradation.
  • Standard Servo Compatibility — The module works with any standard size servo, giving you complete flexibility in your choice of servo brand and specification. This compatibility approach means you can use existing servos from your spares collection or select from the wide range of quality servos available in the UK RC market.
  • Multiple Servo Horn Options Included — Three different servo horn sizes (23T, 24T and 25T) are supplied as standard, ensuring perfect fitment regardless of your specific servo configuration. This eliminates guesswork and compatibility concerns, allowing you to select the correct horn for your setup immediately.
  • Three-Channel Radio System Compatible — The handbrake module integrates seamlessly with three-channel radio systems, distributing control across throttle, steering and brake channels. This standard radio configuration is widely supported across the UK RC market, ensuring compatibility with most popular control systems.
  • Recommended Integration with Spektrum Components — The system is recommended for use with the Spektrum DX3 Transmitter, SR6110AT Receiver and S650 Servo, forming a complete, tested ecosystem that ensures optimal handbrake performance and reliability. This recommended configuration represents a proven solution path for users wanting guaranteed compatibility.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Handbrake Module Z-ARA311025 represents a significant engineering achievement in RC drivetrain customisation, delivering the mechanical sophistication required for advanced driving techniques on all-road platforms. The module's hybrid construction, combining high-strength steel with tough composite materials, creates a system capable of withstanding the substantial forces generated during handbrake turns, drifts and competitive driving sessions. The use of steel in critical load-bearing areas ensures long-term structural integrity, whilst composite components reduce overall weight and improve response characteristics. The system integrates with standard servo specifications, meaning any conventional size servo becomes a viable control option, and the inclusion of three different servo horn profiles (23T, 24T and 25T) ensures precise mechanical matching to your chosen servo specification. The module operates within a three-channel radio architecture, utilising dedicated brake control to maintain independent rear-wheel locking capability. This represents a fundamental departure from standard single-brake-circuit designs and enables the precise, modulated braking control essential for drift and handbrake turn execution. The engineered response characteristics allow drivers to progressively lock the rear axle, rather than applying full braking force instantaneously, resulting in smooth, controllable slides. The assembly process is optimised for field installation, with all complex calibration and alignment performed at the factory, meaning installation requires only basic tools and RC knowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I fit the ARRMA Handbrake Module to my existing RC car? — The handbrake module is specifically designed for ARRMA All-Road models, particularly the Infraction 6S BLX range. Compatibility is confirmed for the C-ARA7615V2T2 (Silver) and C-ARA7615V2T1 (Blue) variants. Before purchasing, confirm your specific model matches these compatibility specifications to ensure correct fitment.
  • What servo do I need to use with this handbrake module? — The module works with any standard size servo, giving you flexibility in your choice. The system is recommended to be used with the Spektrum S650 Servo for optimal performance, though other standard servos should also function correctly. The inclusion of three servo horn options (23T, 24T and 25T) ensures you can match the system to virtually any conventional servo specification.
  • Do I need a special radio transmitter and receiver for the handbrake module? — You require a three-channel radio system with a dedicated brake channel to operate the handbrake module. The system is recommended to be used with the Spektrum DX3 Transmitter combined with the SR6110AT Receiver, which creates a fully compatible and tested solution. Other three-channel systems may also work, provided they offer independent brake channel control.
  • How difficult is the handbrake module to install? — Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic RC knowledge. The module arrives fully assembled and sub-assembled specifically for quick and simple installation to your vehicle. You will need to mount the module to your compatible ARRMA model and integrate it with your radio control system, tasks that require only basic tools and mechanical understanding. No complex calibration or assembly of internal components is necessary.
  • What driving techniques can I perform with the handbrake module? — The handbrake module enables you to perform authentic handbrake turns by locking the rear wheels independently from the main braking system. This allows you to initiate and control drifts with far greater precision than standard RC car braking provides. The modulated brake control ensures smooth, progressive locking of the rear axle, resulting in controllable slides and turns rather than abrupt direction changes.
  • Is the handbrake module durable for intensive use? — Yes, the combination of strong steel and tough composite materials ensures the module withstands repeated stress from intensive driving, drifting and competitive use. The engineered construction is designed for long-term reliability, and the modular design allows for individual component replacement should any wear occur after extended use.
