This precision is particularly valuable when charging valuable or sensitive battery packs.
  • Battery Recall Memory — The charger can store recall data for up to ten different batteries, allowing you to save your preferred charging profiles and simply select a saved configuration on subsequent charging sessions, eliminating repetitive parameter entry and reducing setup time.
  • Compact and Portable Design — Measuring just 135 x 140 x 45mm, the X4 Mini is remarkably compact for a quad-output charger, making it easy to store in a toolbox, RC kit bag or transport to RC events and racing venues across the UK without consuming significant space or adding meaningful weight to your setup.

Technical Performance

The GT Power X4 Mini Charger delivers professional-grade charging performance backed by the engineering excellence G.T. Power is recognised for throughout the RC hobby community. Each of the four output channels is rated for maximum 100W of charging power when using DC input (providing the external supply can deliver sufficient amperage), or a shared 100W maximum when operating from mains AC input, with individual outputs capable of delivering charge currents up to 10.0A. The charger's maximum input specifications accommodate 100-240V mains AC power in the UK and other countries, as well as portable 19-26V DC supplies, making it suitable for use at home, in the workshop, at RC racing events or in field locations where portable power generation is available. The balance charging system, capable of delivering 500mA per balance channel, maintains voltage precision to within ±0.01V across all cells, ensuring that lithium-based battery packs (LiPo, LiFe, LiIon, LiHV) are charged safely and evenly across cell counts from 1-4S, whilst NiMH and NiCd packs can safely utilise the charger's capabilities up to 8 cells, and lead-acid batteries up to 14V can be accommodated. The XT60 main battery connectors paired with XH-style balance connectors represent the modern standard in RC charging connectivity, and the 2 x 16 character backlit LCD screen provides clear display of all charging parameters, progress and status information. Built-in memory for up to ten battery profiles means you can store your most frequently-used charging configurations and eliminate the need to re-enter parameters each time you charge a familiar battery pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I charge four batteries at the same time with the X4 Mini? — Yes, absolutely. The X4 Mini features four completely independent output channels, each capable of operating with separate charge profiles. You can charge four different batteries simultaneously, using different chemistries, cell counts and amperage settings on each channel. This is one of the charger's primary advantages for users who operate multiple RC vehicles or maintain diverse battery collections.
  • What's the difference between AC and DC input on this charger? — The AC input accepts standard 100-240V mains power from a UK wall socket, making it ideal for home or workshop use. The DC input option (19-26V) allows you to power the charger from portable external supplies at RC racing events, field locations or anywhere without access to mains electricity. When using DC input, each output channel can deliver its full 100W rating (providing the external supply can deliver sufficient amperage), but mains AC input shares a total of 100W across all four channels.
  • Is the X4 Mini suitable for beginners to RC charging? — Yes, the X4 Mini is excellent for beginners due to its comprehensive support for all modern battery chemistries and its intuitive LCD menu system. The backlit display makes parameter selection straightforward in any lighting condition, and the ability to store up to ten battery profiles means you'll quickly build a library of pre-configured charging settings for your regular batteries. The built-in balance charging also protects valuable battery packs from damage caused by cell imbalances, which is particularly important for those new to RC who may not yet understand lithium battery management.
  • What battery types does this charger support? — The X4 Mini supports LiPo, LiFe, LiIon, LiHV, NiMH, NiCd and lead-acid (Pb) chemistries. For lithium variants, it accommodates 1-4S cell counts. NiMH and NiCd batteries can be charged up to 8 cells, and lead-acid batteries from 2-14V. This comprehensive chemistry support means a single charger can serve virtually any RC vehicle in your collection, from modern brushless RC cars and trucks to older nickel-metal hydride powered models.
  • What makes the XT60 connector important? — The XT60 has become the industry standard main battery connector in modern RC applications because it provides a secure connection, lower electrical resistance than older connector types and excellent current handling capacity. By using XT60 connectors, the X4 Mini ensures compatibility with the vast majority of contemporary RC batteries and vehicles. The XH-style balance connectors are equally important for safe lithium battery charging, as they allow the charger to monitor and balance individual cells during the charging process.
  • Can I use this charger if I don't have mains power available? — Yes, the X4 Mini can operate on DC input between 19-26V, which means you can power it from portable DC supplies, solar charging systems or vehicle power supplies at RC racing venues and field locations. This makes it genuinely portable and field-capable, unlike chargers limited to mains AC input only.
  • How does the battery recall memory feature work? — The charger can store charging profiles for up to ten different batteries. After programming your preferred parameters for a particular battery (chemistry, cell count, charge rate etc.), you can save that configuration to the charger's memory. On subsequent charging sessions, you simply select the saved profile by battery number rather than re-entering all parameters, saving time and reducing the risk of input errors.
  • What does the ±0.01V balance precision mean for my batteries? — Balance precision to within ±0.01V (one hundredth of a volt) is exceptionally tight tolerance and means that each cell within a lithium battery pack will be charged to virtually identical voltage levels. This is crucial for battery lifespan, performance consistency and safety, as unbalanced cells can fail prematurely or behave unpredictably during discharge, potentially damaging equipment or creating safety hazards.
