Overview

The Radient Battery Adapter, Deans (HCT) Female to XT60 Male (RDNAC010116), is an essential connector solution for RC enthusiasts across the UK who operate equipment using different battery connector standards. This straightforward yet invaluable adapter bridges the gap between Deans (HCT) and XT60 connectors, allowing you to interface batteries, power leads and equipment that would otherwise be incompatible. Whether you're running multiple RC cars, trucks, boats or aircraft with mixed connector types, this adapter eliminates the need for rewiring or purchasing separate batteries for different models.

If you're a hobbyist building your RC collection, you'll quickly discover that different manufacturers favour different connector standards. Deans connectors have long been popular in the RC car community, whilst XT60 connectors have become the standard for many modern RC aircraft, drones and high-power applications. Rather than being limited by connector compatibility, the Radient Deans to XT60 adapter gives you complete flexibility to use your batteries across your entire fleet of RC gear. This is particularly valuable for UK RC enthusiasts who operate multiple scales and vehicle types, from ready to run RC cars and trucks to custom-built RC aircraft and quadcopters.

Supplied by RC Model Shop, a trusted UK retailer of quality RC products, this adapter represents excellent value at just £2.28. It's a compact, lightweight solution that deserves a place in every serious RC hobbyist's spare parts box. Stock your essential connectors and adapters today and maximise the versatility of your RC battery collection.

Key Features

  • Deans (HCT) Female Connector — The female Deans connector end allows you to connect to any standard Deans-equipped battery or charger lead, providing a secure and reliable power interface that has been proven in RC applications for many years.
  • XT60 Male Connector — The male XT60 connector end plugs directly into XT60 female sockets found on modern RC equipment including aircraft, boats, chargers and high-power ESCs, ensuring compatibility with contemporary RC technology.
  • Simple One-to-One Conversion — This is a straightforward passive adapter with no active components, meaning there are no batteries, electronics or moving parts to fail, providing rock-solid reliability for your RC setup.
  • Lightweight and Compact — Weighing just 0.01 kg, this adapter adds virtually no weight or bulk to your RC bag, making it ideal for portable RC sessions whether you're at the track, the field or the water.
  • Suitable for All RC Vehicle Types — Whether you're running RC cars, trucks, boats, aircraft or any other RC model, this adapter works across your entire collection, bridging batteries and equipment that use different connector standards.
  • Age Recommendation 14+ — Designed for responsible users aged fourteen and above, this adapter is appropriate for most RC hobbyists and is often recommended as part of a complete RC setup that includes proper battery safety practices.

Technical Performance

The Radient Battery Adapter is engineered as a passive connector interface, meaning it contains no active electronics, control circuits or voltage regulation components. This design philosophy ensures maximum reliability and eliminates any potential for component failure. The adapter maintains the full electrical characteristics of your battery, whether you're using 2S, 3S, 4S or higher LiPo packs, or traditional NiMH batteries. Both the Deans (HCT) and XT60 connectors are rated for high current applications commonly encountered in RC hobbies, including brushless motor systems and high-capacity battery packs. The mechanical construction ensures positive connection with no loose contacts or poor electrical transfer. This adapter is built to the same standards expected from Radient, a respected manufacturer of RC power solutions and accessories. The compact design means minimal voltage drop across the connection, preserving the full performance potential of your battery pack. Whether you're powering a brushless RC car with a 3S LiPo, an RC aircraft with multiple battery packs, or a high-speed RC boat, this adapter maintains electrical integrity throughout your session.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I use this adapter to connect my Deans battery to XT60 equipment? — Yes, absolutely. This adapter is specifically designed to allow Deans (HCT) female-equipped batteries to connect to XT60 male sockets found on modern RC equipment including chargers, ESCs, flight controllers and power distribution boards.
  • Is this adapter suitable for beginners? — Yes, this is an excellent accessory for RC beginners because it eliminates connector compatibility issues that can otherwise limit which batteries work with which models. An entry-level RC enthusiast might own a ready to run RC car with Deans connectors and a newer RC aircraft with XT60 connectors; this adapter solves that problem immediately.
  • What types of batteries work with this adapter? — The adapter is compatible with any battery system that uses Deans (HCT) connectors on one end and needs to connect to XT60 equipment on the other, including LiPo batteries (2S, 3S, 4S and higher), LiFe batteries, and traditional NiMH battery packs commonly used in RC cars and trucks.
  • How much weight does this add to my RC setup? — With a shipping weight of just 0.01 kg, this adapter is negligible in terms of weight, making it suitable for weight-conscious applications like RC aircraft where every gram counts, as well as for RC cars and trucks where it will have no meaningful impact on performance.
  • Is there any power loss through this adapter? — No significant power loss occurs because this is a passive connector with direct copper-to-copper contact between the Deans and XT60 terminals, meaning your full battery voltage and current capacity reaches your RC equipment without degradation.
  • Can I use multiple adapters in series? — Whilst technically possible, it's not recommended as each additional connection introduces a slight contact resistance. A single direct adapter is the optimal solution for safe, reliable power transfer.
